Diane Minuti was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. While in high school she studied painting at the Massachusetts College
of Art where she experienced painting "en plein air" in the streets of Boston. She furthered her education in the following
years by studying painting and drawing at the Whistler House in Lowell, Rivier College, Notre Dame College, the Sharon Arts
Center and the New Hampshire Institute of Art. She attended numerous workshops and private study with noted artists Don Andrews,
James Aponovich and Oscar Durand. Throughout the 90's Diane competed and was voted "Artist of the Month" eleven times by the
Manchester Artist's Association. In 2001 she was awarded second place Still Life category, in the National Artist's Exhibition
at the Sharon Arts Center in New Hampshire. Concurrently, she married and raised a son.
In 2002, she returned to outdoor painting concentrating in oils, studying with renowned modern impressionist Stan Moeller.
She has continued her work with him on locations such as Monhegan Island, Maine and in La Napoule, France.
In the spring of 2009 Diane moved to a larger studio in an established artists community,
The Mills at Salmon Falls in Rollinsford, New Hampshire. She is a juried member
of Oil Painters of America (OPA), a juried member of
New Hampshire Artist Association (NHAA) and a member of the
American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA).
Diane resides in rural Candia, New Hampshire with her family. She continues to find new sources of inspiration in the
countryside around her as well as from her travels, and captures the essence of these places on canvas in her colorful,
energetic style.
